Scan a receipt

In development

Receipt scanning is still a beta feature. The Bonnen tab currently shows a “coming soon” placeholder, and the Bon scannen action sits behind a developer toggle. Until it ships fully, book expenses by hand via Add a transaction.

The goal: you photograph a paper receipt and boeq reads the most important details (date, amount, supplier) for you, so you don’t retype them.

How it will work

1. Go to Bonnen and start a new receipt.
2. Photograph the receipt.
3. boeq reads the datum, bedrag and supplier and fills them in.
4. You check the recognised values and correct anything that’s off.
5. Pick the right category and save.

Today: bulk import

You can already point boeq at a folder of photos or PDFs via Bulk-import. Each receipt is run through text recognition and saved as a concept (draft) that you review later. This path is also evolving alongside the scanning work.

Where receipts are stored

Receipt images are stored encrypted alongside the expense on your device, so your proof is always at hand for your administration and your aangifte.
